    IMo the problem isn't the cast/recast...its the fact most of them aren't worth casting every 5 min.

    I'm fine with protect/shell being a 5 min duration if they had expressive effect (similar to FFXI's phalanx effect in potency)...but right now they are barely noticeable.

    The effect actually seems to be even weaker than XI's protect & shell. Which makes the duration even more bizarre.

    Very true. But i'm looking foward to the balancing some skill/spells might be receiving...maybe they become worth using (hopefully becoming good enough for a 5 min duration buff)
