In my books if you'd saved them they wouldn't need the raise......
Pad
1:- press left or right 2 maybe 3-times. to select target
2:- hold left trigger. to open macro bar
3:- press x to select macro
I dont understand how you find this so complicated. with a mouse it would be
1:- move mouse over group of enemies click them maybe 2 or 3 times to get the right one.
2:- press ctrl or whatever to open macro bar
3:- press appropriate macro number.
now unless your completely silly and not even prepared for the fight in which case a pad user may have to press left or right to select a diffent macro just as a mouse keyboard user may have to press up or down to switch lists.... there really is no major difference between the two methods.
Lets take an ingame example of AV. we enter. while I turn right and head to those jelly fish I am already moving accross my spell bar and getting ready to cast. So when the blms stop at the entrance to that room I press right maybe twice and hit cast. thats 3 button presses. (right right x) as i was ready prepared.
so then we're in the first light depops and thw whm has regened us I've already got my flare macro selected. so we run through that first room stop at the killspot i press x. (1 button press) then as we run to the portal to the second room i'm moving my selector over my fire combo ready for the 3 lillies. i press left or right to target one as i run past. then in the kill spot i press x right x right x (maybe 5 buttons) assuming they live that long. with a mouse it would be click mouse, move mouse, click mouse, move mouse, click mouse. with a keyboard it might simply be 1 2 3 but as the spells have a cast time (which is more than enough time for a game pad user to press left or right) it really is no faster.
I'm sorry but you are so very wrong. now if in that above example i always found myself casting even just 1 or 2 seconds slower than everyone using a mouse/keyboard i might be more inclined to think your right but it just doesn't happen that way. if anything i'm one of the first to get my spells off for the most part.
