I really don't care about that.
I really don't care about that.
And that was my original point, you almost nearly want to turn it into a hack and slash so you don't need to do anything else. Unfortunately, for a game that is crafting/gathering heavy, that's not going to work.Again Im talking about not needing to deal with reading the market, I just want to stay out in the world having fun killing stuff and making money without needing to go to town, fight to get my retainer on a spot then look through a mirage of stock market prices to figure out what I want to sell at what price.
Seems to me crafting just makes me lose money xD Yeah I'd appreciate more gil drops from mobs...
I admit, I'm not rich, even though I have all craft capped
I never have more than 5 millions in one account
Does that make me whine?
No
Your idea of fun is no fun at allAgain Im talking about not needing to deal with reading the market, I just want to stay out in the world having fun killing stuff and making money without needing to go to town, fight to get my retainer on a spot then look through a mirage of stock market prices to figure out what I want to sell at what price.
Beside, if you too lazy to find spot in ward, you can always npc your drop
It's a matter of choice
I absolutely hate the crafting/gathering in this game. I'd rather hit my "craft these 20 things while I afk" button than play a mini game. As such, I'm probably doomed to go the farming route.
Doesn't really matter though... this entire system sucks with wards that are PER CITY instead of all 3 being linked to a single search window. We shouldn't have to fight tooth and nail just for a spot in Uldah's wards-- there probably aren't enough people willing to take the time to check all three for the people stuck in Grid/Limsa to really prosper. (Poor people might shop around, but poor people are also going to look for cheaper items. Those with Gil probably won't invest in the lagfest involved in price hunting, unless something in the Uldah wards is simply outrageous).

Q20: Will we ever be able to send tells from within an instanced area?
A20: While the feature can be implemented, it’s currently masked. It’s currently masked because we would like to prevent players from harassing each other just because they know they would never party together in the future. We will continue to monitor the situation carefully as we move forward.

Then NPC it?Again Im talking about not needing to deal with reading the market, I just want to stay out in the world having fun killing stuff and making money without needing to go to town, fight to get my retainer on a spot then look through a mirage of stock market prices to figure out what I want to sell at what price.
I can only imagine that if SE was going to introduce a gil drop from mobs you can expect it to be the same sort of reward as turning it into an NPC.
We all go back to town eventually whilst out in the field, be it to stock up on supplied, new equipment, check for shouts or meet with friends to trade stuff. Just drop it into the NPC's hands on your way past.
EDIT: I'm not trying to argue the point, rather see if there's a middle ground between what is available and what you want from it.
This is what popped in my mind...
On a serious note, It's quite ridiculous, people commented on why It is so, you replied just because it is "Final Fantasy".
I can't see you even taking this seriously, difference between FLYFF on the topic of Money and realism; Elves, cats. Really ?
I haven't seen any game where Craft and Gathering matters as much as in XIV, and I for one, think It's a "Uniqueness". XIV's and Other MMOs' approach on getting Gil is different.
Also, Offline and Online Final Fantasies have some slightly different things to consider, like say, Economics, wherein "You're not the only Player" in Online FFs.
If any random lv 1 monster dropped Armors, then that Item will become Obsolete, instead here In FFXIV you get Armors as a reward for completing Levequest, or crafting or Drops that is supported by Lore and makes sense. I.E. Darklight
Now rather than making more ways for Items to be Obsolete, why not make Items that actually matters ? In Offline games they don't have to worry about that, you most likely have infinite Inventory.
Then you talked about being Realistic and Immersion, and that FF isn't FF if the monsters doesn't drop Money, I see that FF is just "that much" for you, If the Monsters doesn't drop money, It's not FF.
For me, FF is the Engaging storyline, the gameplay, the characters, the lore and world, but who am I to say ? I'm just an RPG fan, an FF fan, a "story" fan, I'm not any Creator. The Creators are who define FF, but each individuals have their own definition and Majority is what decides the universal definition. All if not most of your posts are very self-centered, and always includes "I" "Me", etc.
I'm sorry for you, but this FF is taking "a bit realistic" way in economy for the Crafters and Gatherers, tell me it isn't when you dissect 100 Animals and find "Coins" in their bodies, or where Animals actually look like Animals, and Building structures actually look realistic ? Despite all the Realism, I think XIV is doing really well with balancing Realism and Fantasy, what's more, most people like it.
First, I was ok with someone not liking about some aspects of the game, I even thought SE could increase the rate of Gil drops from Humanoid enemies, but then you brought out craps and shits. I was actually gonna say some more, but I forgot what it is..
Anyways, sorry for the long post and have fun![]()
