I see some people complaining about the fees. I hope they realize this next year is a one time deal. We are going to see a brand new game unfold right underneath our own feet. All the event are real time(almost), we are essentially playing a prequel of FFXIV in a beta form. We are really going to give the bards something to sing about.(probably should quote that)So, this is the first time I've seen an mmo do this. . Soo, how I look at it, we are playing a betaish game, that BIG events are going to happen, that we are the only ones EVER going to see it/experience it/feel it. Talk about immersion I say.

I'm wondering if someone will be recording and taking all the times we've had through this first year and so of the game, and release a video about the old as we get into the new of this game.

i might do something like that, ive been making videos of the patches/events and such.

ive also made a video showing Mor Dhona off incase if they change it, so i dont wee why i cant do that for other zones

If I get access to supportive people in Besaid - people willing to help me make it happen - I can probably produce some video trailers that chronicle such things. There is one already a work in progress, but it's been stalled due to a lack of player interest in helping me finish it.

In the case of those who have been playing since launch, the old timer saying "back in my day we had to walk to school up hill both ways" seems to ring true with Final Fantasy XIV's alpha stage (launch to Feb?)

I am entirely thrilled about the unique storyline only we the "beta" players will get to experience. To see the areas transform and learn about how the present-XIV (2.0) will be will definitely be an incredible experience.
