I like the items menu really. The big list makes looking for an item tough sometimes. I will be happy when we can sort item types into different bags.

The problem of the current system is how laggy it is, not it being a list seriously.. Mostly a 'item icon menu' will make it hard sometimes to track some items that we dont know their icons look, tbh text helps alot tracking items, and XI, like i said, had no trouble at all on item listing, not even the PS2 or XBox systems had. The current item list is good, just laggy and the sort is abit messed. Some little fixes whould improove it alot and make it good as it is. The icon menu for 200 items i'm sure will be either small with afew pages and can barely see the items icons at some resolutions. With huge icons it will be alot of pages to search at and prob wait 2-3 seconds with the mouse up the item till their name shows up and we find out we tracked the wrong item.
I'm happy with the new UI and the bags they are implementing in FFXIVARR. As long as it doesn't take me away from my world and makes me wonder that I'm playing a game. lol

On the screenshots, i dont see what u talking baout. The tabs are for all items, there arent any special bags at all. You'll have to walk thru all them to find the item ur searching unless u sort them and actually know the icon of it. In 200 material items icons, i'm sure it will be hard to find some items that have the exact same look but just a small color diference. A colorblind person might have trouble to actually know the diference between them.

I think the point people are trying to make is WoWs UI was not a new idea. Other games used it or ones similar before WoW and thus you aren't copying WoW. There were games pre-wow. I know it is hard to believePersonally, I don't think that copying UI means you're copying WoW. If you copy the content, battle system, job, then yes, that's copy pasting. But woW's UI is pretty much a standard. It's just using a standard.
If you want to make a new keyboard, you know where Backspace is located, where Enter is located, where ESC is located, and you definitely expect to see CTRL ALT, TAB, CAPS LOCK. In my opinion, using WoW's UI as template is fine. It is, after all, the template almost all MMOs out there use.
