Well the current UI makes me want to eat a pony. So... I guess rly sad is an improvement.I know its too late to change alot of the actualy menus, but the Items menu its what makes me rly sad about 2.0 that we know so far.
omnom nom Thankssh you...
Can I haz milk?
It doesnt look bad, just XI is better to search for items, etc. On crafting for example, i mostly search for the items names and add it to the craft menu. On the new system i'll have to look at all the (for example ) Logs to find the Oak for my crafts, and if Retainers menu are the same, i'll have alot of icons to search for it instead of just search their names...

No, you don't have to find the oak in your inventory to craft with 2.0It doesnt look bad, just XI is better to search for items, etc. On crafting for example, i mostly search for the items names and add it to the craft menu. On the new system i'll have to look at all the (for example ) Logs to find the Oak for my crafts, and if Retainers menu are the same, i'll have alot of icons to search for it instead of just search their names...

And the bags support manual sorting, by the way ^^
and the inventory size is 100 items (4 bags with 25 slots each) with 2.0
We have only seen the mouse&keyboard UI. I can't wait to see the gamepad UI ^^

FFXI is another MMO, but they whould be copying their own stuff. To be honest, it whouldnt be as bad as copying something from WoW or Aion, as they whould be copying their own stuff.
Because for people using keyboard and mouse, menus with list and s**t you have to scroll through are terrible. There's a reason why most modern MMOs have icon based menus: it's because you can fit a lot more s**t in a single window and you make it faster to navigate.
