sauce pls?Ya if you characters get move to beta early on then yes you can play beta with your 1.0 and everything you do in the beta would be save, i don't see a reason for them deleting everything you done in beta when playing ffxiv 2.0 beta is like playing 1.0 beta for over 1year we was playing beta for lol so it's pretty much the same thing just with 2.0. Now every new player who join the beta i'm sure there char would not be save because it's not a real account it's just beta account.

Thats usually the case for most games and was for the previous ffxiv-alpha's and beta's. But i dont remember SE saying something like that about the "Free Trial Period" for 2.0. Idc if thats the case or not, but you all are making stuff up, which isnt confirmed. He's making that up. It has been clearly stated that whatever you do in beta will not be transferred into live.

Beta is not Free Trial. That's two different things and I wasn't talking about that. I'm not gonna bother looking for the exact quote, but Yoshi said Beta progress won't be saved.

The PC-Beta Phase is marked as "Free Trial Period" in the Roadmap from October to January. So which Beta are you talking about? And btw.. Beta is always Free Trial.. most people wouldnt pay to play a Beta.
If you are not going to look for the quote, you shouldnt pull out statements like that if you are not able to back it up. Like i said before, i dont care either way. Beta progress probably wont be saved, like usually. But doesnt change the fact that SE neither confirmed or denied it.

I found the quote I was thinking about, and having re-read it I must say I remembered wrong. So, sorry about that and I'm going to agree that nothing has been said about beta progress being saved or not, unless I'm still forgetting something ^^;The PC-Beta Phase is marked as "Free Trial Period" in the Roadmap from October to January.
