You assume way too much for me to be convinced you actually played this game for any appreciable length of time, much less tried out a party on the higher leve difficulties...If you thought ffxi combat was slow, you were that dark knight that nobody likes, super whiff fest, didn't eat food, and didn't pay attention. The rest of us were sweating bullets trying to make sure utsusemi was up, or using paralyna and haste to keep the tank alive, or making sure you stun that mob on time or your party wipes, because it only takes a split second for everything to get horribly wrong. The whole alliance can wipe if a skill chain and magic burst was missed or a bard 2 houred too soon or too late. It is those moments that are missing in ffxiv.
Yeah, let me add more stars to the leve so I don't gain more SP than the capped amount it was at when it was hello kitty easymode level, right?
The SP you gain from leve mobs caps at a VERY low amount of stars, making it pointless to make it harder. You gain the same SP when they're mobs that die in 2 hits that you do when mobs are actually difficult. The combat/mob/difficulty/exp system is completely broken and needs revamped.
