You realize that IGN started off as IGN64.com they were a dedicated Nintendo 64 site. Maybe that's why they love Nintendo.People still give a damn about IGN?
They give anything from Nintendo an automatic 9 or better, and their reviews are generally terrible. Most of their people on their videos are twat muffins too.
I prefer GT or Joystiq, and occasionally destructoid. The only guy I have any respect for at IGN is of course, HD Starcraft (and I guess PainUser)
Or lets bribe IGN to make this game as GoTY of 2013.
i emailed them. waiting on a response

well, I can tell you that even Invisible Walls over at GT is covering this - IIRC, a ways back Shane asked one of the guys on the show (I think it was Mike) to keep an eye on 2.0 and get back to them on it. I imagine it'll be coming up in this Friday's podcast or soon after given that SE is finally putting stuff out there.
At least I hope so anyway. Most sites have written XIV off, it's nice to see GT giving it another chance. IW is also the #1 gaming podcast on the net btw (<3 Marcus)

Most sites have written XIV off, which is why we all have been saying, over and over and over again, it's SE's job to be extra explosive in marketing.
If GW2 is explosive in its marketing, SE should be extra extra super explosive. IF GW2 was able to do 45 minute streaming, SE should be doing 90 minute streaming. Why? Because SE has a higher mountain to climb. They've lost the trust of the public.
And instead, what we saw was more secret, more subtle. No streaming videos. Don't show the public. And as always, "Look forward for it in the next coming weeks"..... This is not enough. I think partly why IGN is ignoring FFXIV ARR is because it's not making enough noise.

And that's because it was a media only presentation and Gamescom wasn't open to the public <_<Most sites have written XIV off, which is why we all have been saying, over and over and over again, it's SE's job to be extra explosive in marketing.

Well if SE wants the videos to be released by the media, where are they?
Wasn't that the reason the community rep gave for not releasing it themselves? One would assume that media outlets would want to get this footage out to get a few thousands hits on their site before anyone else. Being that this footage is from the "media only" screening.
This is why relying on the mainstream media as your marketing vehicle is a horrible idea.

Honestly I don't think they are ready for a media blitz. Maybe they will be when Tokyo Game Show comes around and they should be starting up beta around that time too.
