Just did the easy mode with my ls to test it (Since it seemed a little fishy they'd allow us to replay easy mode if it was for nothing) and it was the same, nothing dropped.

Yes it's stackable. The effect doesn't stack. I was talking about Sentinel and the effect, which of course they do.

Ok, going to give a rundown of every bit I've learned. Much of this has probably already been discussed, but hopefully there will be some new gems for you guys
-He begins in Phase 2 (Nael Deus Darnus)
-He immediately begins a Megaflare phase
-Even with destroying all the meteors, it will still do ~6,800 damage.
-With Sentinel & Stoneskin, it becomes ~3,800 damage.
-With Sentinel, Stoneskin & Sanguine Rite, it becomes ~2,000 damage.
-With Sentinel, Stoneskin, Sanguine Rite & Lunar Curtain: ~1,000 damage.
-Deaspected Clusters drop off of Lunar Fragments not spawned for a Megaflare
-Lunar Fragments not spawned for a Megaflare that touch the ground become Lunar Golems
-A Lunar Fragment touching the ground will do ~1,800 to the entire battlefield.
-There is nothing special up top to mitigate damage
-Megaflare is triggered by doing enough damage to him while he is charging.
-Dalamud Horn does nothing.
-Battle Voice or HP drinks can help survivability
-Drop rate on Deaspected Clusters off of non-megaflare Lunar Fragments isn't too bad.
-He uses a new weaponskill that inflicts Defense Down and gives him Defense Boost, in addition to his old moves.

Translated: Mulitple Lunar Curtains do not stack, however Sentinel and Lunar Curtains do stack together.

so let me get this straight you have to go in hard mode and kill the golems when they appear or can u kill the comets first?

If a meteor crashes, it deals damage to everybody and turns into a golem. You then have to deal with a golem.

As far as I have seen, there are no golems that spawn independent of the meteors in this fight.

so how do u get the lunar crystals

You destroy meteors or golems for deaspected clusters.

You craft these into lunar curtains.

You use these curtains in subsequent battles on jobs like MNK, BLM, DRG, or whatever wouldn't ordinarily survive Megaflare.

Only Golems that pop independently are at <20% health when the boss ports to top and there are a ton of them.
