ok a. bad idea b. it would make ppl quit the game if it was implemented and we need ppl to play this game and it was never in 11 c.bad idea honstly do you relly want some one who you dont know in real life to have a key to your place . you work hard to get sruff in game that takes months to even get and one day some d bag come and take it all away how would you feel then ... answer you would rage quit in a heart beat and this is a vary bad idea

Well you wouldn't deposit everything you own to the guild bank would you, only the stuff you want to donate.

I think it's a good idea, bigger ls's will do it anyway with a mule, so the downsides would happen even without this implemented, might as well have some extra control over the
bank and ease of use, this addition would only have the benefits, as said free companies will do it anyway but with mules instead if this isn't implemented

We are planning on having a similar bank type of system for Free Companies in A Realm Reborn although it might not be available right at launch.

WoW had a decent guild bank system where certain tabs were locked for higher privilege people (officers or guild leader) and also had a log showing all deposits and withdrawals.

As far as the negative comments go about not being able to trust the people running the banks...should you even be involved with a group with a leader like that?

You do realize you don't actually have to donate things to a guild bank...right? There, solved your problem.

I would only be skeptical if there was a requirement by your guild leader/ls leader to donate a certain amount of items/money to your guild on a regular basis. And even then...it's hard to say.

Whatever system of prevention SE implements, people will come up with ways to counter that. It happens in real life, and it will happen in games. The two real cash economy games that I have played, both had fraud and stealing. When you talk about real money, thieves will come.

What it comes down to at the end, and the only thing we have to go on in any shared banking system as proposed, is the trust you have with the people you are playing with and them on you.

It really does come down to trust. I can honestly say if a ls tried to have a tide from members I would be skepticle. What I am proposing is just about donating items/funds w/e. And being able to have stocks of things for old and new members alike. And in regards to the funds part, our ls has been working on a bank already. As a way to be able to buy members things that are needed but very very hard to get in the future. And the possibility of events that cost gil to enter. But again it's purely voluntary. Awesome we got a dev response on this as well. And glad to see they had already thought of something along the lines of op.
