    IMO, if you have a busy life, a job, a family and god knows what else going on, level caps are a massive pain in the ass.

    There are better ways to create goals and incentives.

    Again, 'goals and incentives' and 'level caps' are two different things. The goal is to complete the content and the reward is, well, the reward, being loot or whatever. Level caps simply insure you experience the content the way it was designed. You know why you play a game? To play the game. It shouldn't be about the reward, it should be the fun you have getting to the reward. If content is fun (Which often requires balance, level caps being a mean to that end), then players will want to help you do it. That's the solution. Letting players rush you through/creating a whole expansion designed around ignoring old content is not.
