My theory, Dalamud contains bahamut, and Louisoix is Rhalgr pretending to be Thaliak, and he's using us to feed Bahamut's power, and Bahamut is gonna hatch out and destroy Eorzea.

Also note...Where is Rhalgr's symbol? Nearby Uldah...and we've all seen whats about to happen to Uldah...
Evidence to support Louisoix is Rhalgr: Rhalgr's staff is bronze, Louis' staff is bronze, and not ashen like Thaliak's staff. Also the Thaliak symbol looks out of place, a rock on an otherwise bronze and leather staff. And the symbol is upsidedown!
Rhalgr is also depicted as a mage, while Thaliak is a scholar.... But Louis' is a mage.
Rhalgr's symbol is the meteor, and Louis' has been having us do stuff which is feeding energy to the meteor.

I am reasonably certain Bahamut winds up wearing van Darnus - I haven't finished To Kill A Raven yet, though, so I can't exactly speculate with full information yet. Some... really interesting points here, though. I thought that the Twelve always wanted to protect Eorzea, though- even if they warred with each other and didn't see eye to eye- so I'm not sure that one of them would defect, work with the Garleans, and use Nael as a catspaw to blow Eorzea to hell and gone.
However, assuming Nael has been serving Bahamut, allowing Bahamut - trapped in Dalamud - to absorb all the primals' energy when it's released - I still feel based on this thread that the Circle of Knowing - or at least some of them - knows something they're not telling us. And there -is- plot left to go, since we know the world ends regardless of the results of To Kill A Raven...

But if one of them were to defect, would it not be Rhalgr, known as 'destroyer of worlds'? Whose symbol also happens to be a meteor? Who has a bronze staff just like Louisoix--fedjnhfkdjnfkjnv HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO SAY IT NO ONE IS LISTENING TO MEEEEEEI am reasonably certain Bahamut winds up wearing van Darnus - I haven't finished To Kill A Raven yet, though, so I can't exactly speculate with full information yet. Hm. Hadn't read those two posts of yours when I posted mine.
I do think you might be on to something, upon reflection. That thing about the staff material is a NICE catch, and exactly the kind of detail this team -would- put in. And they have said we'll be getting a lot more information about the Twelve in the post-1.23 content...
Edit: And Rhalgr plausibly -would- say "screw the sapient life on Eorzea, the stability of the aether is all that matters." Is Rhalgr planning on double-crossing Bahamut upon touchdown, smiting Bahamut and releasing all the aether that Dalamud has eaten back into the land, and to hell with the consequences?

Okay, so our hitherto greatest ally in the conquest of fire demons and harpies is actually a destroyer god bent on sundering the world to replenish the aether.
Why does he fight AGAINST the destroying force (garleans) and teleport the "strongest among us" to a brighter and happy future where we could presumably still foil plans. Why not just let us die? (Question based on tailor actions.)
What if he wants to make us THINK he is teleporting us to safety?
As for Bahamut being in Dalamud, that's highly probable, those meteors it is dropping could be "flare" attacks of Bahamut

Because if he's Rhalgr, he wouldn't like Garleans any more than he'd like Eorzeans. And first off, no one said LOUISOIX was who transports us. But even if he is, maybe its as others said, to get us out of his way when we try to stop him. Or maybe its completely unintentional and just happens with all the crazy aether and magic flying around during Dalamud's landing.Okay, so our hitherto greatest ally in the conquest of fire demons and harpies is actually a destroyer god bent on sundering the world to replenish the aether.

Louisoix was having us destroy primals which were in turn feeding Dalamud...And after finding out that killing Ifrit fed Dalamud, he STILL had us go and do the same to Garuda. And now he acts like Dalamud is no longer crashing down on us and all threat is averted, when we know full well that, that's not true. I don't believe that Louisoix is just too naive to notice what the rest of us can see plain as day, that Dalamud is still coming down, and the disaster is nowhere near averted.

In addition, maybe the deaspected crystals were drained to feed Dalamud. There's definitely still something to this, because REALLY charged crystals are in the dats now. Maybe we'll be expected to 'fill' crystals to take power from Dalamud... or maybe something else entirely.
