to add to the discussion in the quest where you get captured by the Amalj'aa and brought to ifrit
he said he will let us free as long we promise we don't summon "ours", implying that enlightened races had primal too
this could be new part of the conflict if i didn't misunderstand the CS

I hope it's Alexander! Whoo!!to add to the discussion in the quest where you get captured by the Amalj'aa and brought to ifrit

LOL cash shop! SE's way to tell their player how they appreciate them... pull the carrot and empty your pockets $$$
And to those who support it: you are kicking yourselves. -- We just need to sit back and laugh at people with cash shop items.
(Marvelous economics IQ test!)

Now lets jump deeper down the rabbit hole, and complicate matters, as I point out this.... Thaliak is depicted as a scholar with an ashen staff:
"Thaliak, ruler of rivers and wisdom and god of knowledge, is the guardian deity of Sharlayan. He commands the element of Water and is associated with the third moon of the Eorzean calendar. Thaliak is the father of Llymlaen, and the teacher of Byregot. He is most often depicted as a reserved scholar holding an ashen staff. His symbol is the scroll."
Oh, but Loius's staff doesn't look like its made of wood to ME. What OTHER diety carries a staff?? None other than Rhalgr! Destroyer of worlds, symbol the meteor, and a MAGE with a staff of bronze!!
"Rhalgr, breaker of worlds, is the god of destruction and guardian deity of the now fallen nation of Ala Mhigo. He commands the element of Lightning and is associated with the eighth moon of the Eorzean calendar. Rhalgr is the father of both Byregot and Halone and serves as an attendant to Nymeia. He is most often depicted as a magi carrying a staff of bronze. His symbol is the streaking meteor."
And when you really look at it, doesn't the Thaliak symbol look sort of half-assed onto the staff with a rock?

Garuda also complained of 'them' stealing her power to summon the 'other'. And where did her power go when she was destroyed? ....Dalamud.to add to the discussion in the quest where you get captured by the Amalj'aa and brought to ifrit

There was a rather interesting detail in the 2nd stage of the darnus fight
when he becomes "possessed" by the power of dalamud he actually uses a well known Final Fantasy staple as his last resort attack: Megaflare, which is only used by Bahamut usually.
that together with the theory of defeating the primals to feed crystal energy to dalamud for some reason, i cant help but think that dalamud is some kind of prison that holds bahamut,
the names dalamud and bahamut even sound similar which also could mean that it was actually named after its prisoner but that name got altered by retelling over ages.

Wow interesting stuff and darnus helm does kinda resemble bahamuts
head. I think you guys have something here.

Or maybe not, since darnus is called the white raven for the shape of his helm...
Too many times people fly too high with speculation on lore, as some crazy tough in the x topics "xxx is odin" because the shape of an helm

I just noticed that the Thaliak symbol on his staff is going the wrong direction. I wonder if that means anything.
