Keep in mind Althyk is the god of time and the surveyor of change and space... who better to freeze us in time or send us to the future or w/e the heck happens in that video?

These are awesome! I had no idea they were out there. Thanks for posting.

Boxed Turtle Collector | Black Ravyn | Crow | Art by Sa'niquel Amrita
"You've cheated death too many times. Greed may do your bidding, but death serves no man." - Six of Crows

We've started up a thread on Eorzeapedia discussing possible NPCs=Archons, We have at least 3 pretty solid connections thus far:
http://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/forums/...=14741#p331356Louisox - Archon of Thaliak. Evidence: Male, scholar, staff, symbol on said staff, hangs out by water in Gridania, old enough to be the father and master of others. The symbol of this deity is now found in Mor Dhona's crystal cave as the central pillar with 11 connections in a circle around it; Louisox is the leader of the group of what seems to be Archons, the Circle of Knowing
Urianger - Archon of Rhalgr. Evidence: Male, bronze staff (mechanical alchemist staff, looks bronze), "breaker of worlds" (brought news of the destruction), symbol of meteor (which he warned of), attendant of Nymeia (who watches over the celestial bodies, where dalamud is; thus he may be warning us on her command). This deity's symbol is now found in Little Ala Mhigo, which is both representative of the city from which the deity hails as well as well as located in Thanalan, where Urianger has made the most appearances.
Y'shtola - Archon of Nophica. Evidence: Female, Seeker of the Sun (fitting with being a daughter of Azeyma), carries a wand that looks like a sprig with leaves, can split into many forms of herself, representing abundance. The symbol of this deity is now found on the Conjurer's Guild; Y'shtola is a Conjurer.

Guild lore Books:
"Thaliak, ruler of rivers and wisdom and god of knowledge, is the guardian deity of Sharlayan."
Thomas @ Brittlebark:
"The city of Sharlayan is no more. The lakebeds are drying up, the skies are cleaved by flying monstrosities of steel... The end is nigh, friend."
Based on the Eorzean map, Sharlayan is the primary city in Dravania. "Flying monstrosities of steel" suggest it was destroyed by Garlean invasion.
If Louisiox is the embodiment of Thaliak, perhaps he regrets failing to protect his realm from the empire, and decides to sacrifice himself as a means to protect Eorzea.

Perhaps an argument could also be made that the bodies of water are drying up because of his absence?Guild lore Books:
