Like I said above, those are the only two MMO's I played and not many FF's either so question: Since my first thought of a Villainous job would be Dark Knight, because of the name itself implies villainy, how many FF's has it been in?

I can see Necromancer being Villainous in nature, by utilizing the bodies of the fallen as weapons. However, something off the cuff like that may be a nice twist. Though, how would they work. Would you need actual corpses or did you summon the dead?

Though fitting into the game would seem like a challenge in my opinion. It seems that we are all jobs that are light, none really even tapping into darkness. Though we may get more players if we have a dark job.

Dark Knight isn't really an evil/villainous job in the FF universe.. rather, it is a discipline of fighting where you sacrifice life to boost damage output.

Also, Necromancer from FFV:A is nothing like the western idea where you summon lots of skeletons/zombies. Instead, Necromancers in FF use dark arts to weaken their enemies and they can transform themselves into undead (which inverts Dark and Light magic -- ie. Cure damages them) ... so it's not really a pet job.

Both jobs do in fact seem evil BUT that is only a point of veiw, Uldah story was, a reason why the empire couldnt take it over was cause Uldahs Thm guild could resurrect the dead to fight so uldah had an endless army SO infact a Necromancer can be added. Dark Knight is the mirror opposite of Paladin, Paladin uphold the law and protect people, and normal are held back through alot of rule, Dark Knight are the black ops unit if you will, they are not held back like the paladin and can make choices that paladin cant, so most people do veiw them as the villian. (Not Batman pun intended btw).Dark Knight by most lore also is a Warrior who trains with the black arts of necromancy, ff11 actually had it wrong by making them war/blm. Necromancers can raise the undead and be a pet job in this game and instead of big spells like Blm necromancers focus on death disease and decay. So Necromancer can have some DoT spells which this game is still lacking like Bio and Poison, and could throw in new ones like a paralyze/poison dot. But most of the Dmg would come more from the Undead pet than the Necro itself.

Not unless Necromancer could summon Skeletons, Ghosts, Wisps and whatnot and they could be our pets.
