Even though it isn't Uematsu writing anymore, I think all of the music so far has followed the trend Final Fantasy was expected to go before XII and XIII went completely in a different direction.

I won't spoil anything, but this battle SCREAMS Final Fantasy from the highest mountain in Coerthas! It is everything I could have ever asked for as a fan, and I am deeply grateful. XIV is quickly becoming a stronger Final Fantasy title than anything else in the past decade, even though the one-player titles are arguably easier to pick up.
