That's lost potential. Achievement points could've been used in such an ingenious way, but without equality for old and new it wouldn't go over well at all. You guys just failed so hard in my eyes with your shortsightedness.
Hello,
Are you planning to have the Achievements that players did NOT obtain in 1.XX, (Say someone missed Valentine's or didn't do Behest), be greyed out in 2.0? I missed Valentine's Achievements due to some issues, and it will be rather aggravating if I'm constantly reminded of the one or two Achievements which I missed. A method to hide them, or just not display ones you did not obtain would be rather appreciated.
Much Thanks.
It will go over just fine and they are not bieng shortsighted. LOL....
There is nothing wrong with rewarding the efforts of the current players with some extra stuff that can't be done after. They've already done it with the goobbue mounts. Are you saying that those who put up with version 1.0 through thick and thin don't deserve to be recognized for it?
You know, there are a few games out there where the world literally constantly changes, and the same thing never happens twice. Beat a big boss, and it's gone forever (a similar one might eventually appear somewhere else, but it still wont be exactly the same). IT"S SO UNFAIR! I CANT DO WHAT THAT GUY DID! give me a break... It's complaints like yours that limit creativity and what developers are allowed to do with a game.
1) Why would you be constantly aggrivated by artificial designated achievements that you didn't complete? Why would you need to consciously choose to hide them? You'll still know they're there, so I don't see this having any effect.I'm constantly reminded of the one or two Achievements which I missed. A method to hide them
If you stop playing to win the achievements and start playing because the game is fun, you will stop being aggrivated by them.
No kidding... I'm always told to skip cutscenes for missions so that we can have the most time possible so the only way I get to watch those cutscenes is Youtube.
I'm sure they have to say that because it's "policy" but they know that shit won't fly.
They say that for a good reason. They want to ensure they have the rights to smack down whoever misuses their images, so they cannot tell anyone that they can use those videos.
What they can do, it's simply not to pursue people that aren't abusing the images for a reason or another. They're just slightly stuck in a small legal trap there, she said what she needed to say.
This is how I play all my games. I always enjoyed the thrill of unlocking secrets and killing special bosses but I've never understood this obsession with unlocking achievements. I've always put in excessive hours and work into killing secret bosses just for the experience of killing said boss.
Like killing that level 4000 Baal in the original Disgaea, avenging Laharl's father and becoming the Tyrant Overlord. Now THAT I feel, is an achievement. Not highlight a little sticker labeled "Secret Uber Boss Slayer!". I actually find those pop-up notices quite annoying. Whenever I see some ridiculously in-practical and no fun achievement like "Clear stage without getting hit or missing or touching the floor under 5 minutes" I just go "lol pass."
*Jedi mind trick*In A Realm Reborn, you will be able to check the achievements that you completed in the current version and the amount of points you received will not be lost.
It will not be possible to re-watch the cutscenes from all of the 7th Umbral related quests and events that are not available in A Realm Reborn. In addition, since we are changing the graphics engine, all quests will be revamped and won’t be exactly as they are in the current version.
With that said, feel free to record and save the current versions quests for your own pleasure but please don’t post them or upload them anywhere.
We can post videos anywhere we wish~
