Discontinued Content in FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn

I'm really wondering what will happen to all the cut scene's and that final boss battle from 1.23. I understand the Grand Company quest's won't still be there in 2.0 right? I haven't seen all of it but some of those scene's are so beautiful, and the final boss fight area looks spectacular. It just seems like such a shame if they hit delete on it all in the coming months.

Or if there will be any way for new 2.0 players to see the "Seventh Umbral Era" cut scene's and final boss, outside of youtube? Or will only the players who experienced it now get to keep the GC cutscene's in their inn journal.

I know 7th umbra CS's will be gone (T_T) but CS's after 2.0's release wont be re-watchable?

Well... I can't speak about the cutscenes regarding the 7th Umbral Era content, but from what they've wrote...
The quests might become different, for example the very first main quest has us having a vision of Dalamud falling, and that quest has been in the game for friggen ever. But that vision wouldn't properly apply in A Realm Reborn, would it? Or it might apply different.
So if we go there and watch the first cutscene of the first Main Quest, we get to see what the new version of it is, rather than the one we have now. Same for every single cutscene we will have avaiable (hence why I guess i'll be spending a good hour or two rewatching scenes).

I definitely liked getting rid of my guild marks, had enough for a Heaven's eye IV materia, and still had enough total for about 3 million gil.

I just wanna know if the 10 behests per camp & 20 leves per camp achievements will stay in our in-game achievements lists if we complete them now, or will they just be removed completely....

I just started doing those cause I panicked when I saw the last lodestone entry, but if they're removing them totally then i don't really want to bother :P as in, even if completed they'll get removed from our lists as opposed to getting removed for people who didn't complete them (while the ones who did will keep the old achievement which will be unattainable in 2.0)

Exactly this - don't want to spend all that time working on this just to find out it won't matter. Especially considering how much of my leve allowance will get shot by this, and I would prefer to use my leves for crafting/gathering.

If they will not show up in the 2.0 UI regardless then I see no point in getting them. If they do then I'd go spamming right about now.

Never been a fan of achievements so I'm not that bothered... Already got the Gobbue so that's done and over with...

I think the community has two very good questions:

1. Will these achievements be removed entirely from the game and the Lodestone or will they remain?

2. Are the Moogle, Ifrit and Garuda weapons still going to be available in 2.0?

In A Realm Reborn, you will be able to check the achievements that you completed in the current version and the amount of points you received will not be lost.

I'm kind of worried about the re-playable cut-scenes. If the old cut-scenes are going to be significantly reworked. Can we still re-watch the new reworked cut-scenes for the main scenario? I am not making a new character to re-watch them, nor am I using Youtube. :/

It will not be possible to re-watch the cutscenes from all of the 7th Umbral related quests and events that are not available in A Realm Reborn. In addition, since we are changing the graphics engine, all quests will be revamped and won’t be exactly as they are in the current version.

With that said, feel free to record and save the current versions quests for your own pleasure but please don’t post them or upload them anywhere.

can you please give more information on that because you say certain ones which ones because I love the main scenario quests and the gc quests it's what brings about this next era.... and I was hoping those were the ones that would be kept in the game for the ones who completed them but reworked for the new engine....
