How where they wrong ? At release the game was incomplete and in no shape to be at release stage, that is the truth, is a fact acknowledged by SE Itself.......

Ok.. for the last time, since you obviously dont have a clue what you are talking about and also dont have a clue about journalism.

It DOES NOT MATTER if the Game is/was incomplete, it DOES NOT MATTER if the writer feels that way. He/she have to give an objective VIEW about a Game. Thats it.. nothing more, nothing less.

IF a game is incomplete, point it out in an objective Sentence and never be like "not worth playing bla bla". I gave you 2 examples, which are exactly that case were writer trying to tell people what they should or should not do.

So gaming sites gave the game bad reviews that where mostly spot on.....

Mostly Spot on? Yeah.. exactly.. that is why FFXIV have ~40.000 +/- subscribers since Release.

the publisher of the game comes out and openly admits the game blows and spends the next 2 years trying to fix it.....

And? It does not matter, since there were still people who liked/loved it the way it was and still do. You are not getting the point.

Seriously.. what is wrong with you? Learn to read? Yes, they are and were wrong in the point of HOW TO WRITE A REVIEW.

Seriously tho, even people that loved FFXI dint love this game, sure some did, but the entire majority of the gaming community agreed with the reviews,

even the company did, so how can we then turn around and blame the reviews ?

and again.. that is not how reviews have to be written. As soon as you put your personal opinion into it and badmouth it, not staying objective, it is not considerable as being a good review.

Oh.. and yeah... how do you know about the majority of the Game? Cause of the stuff you see on this forum? ( 3% of the playerbase, so the minority ). How can you speak for the majority? You can not!

But i will just give up.. you dont get it, you are twisting things to your own beliefs. You can have your own opinion of course, but you seriously dont know anything about reviews, or how you have to write them.
