Love the new effects, even though it should have been like that from the start.

Hopefully some of the weaponskills will have an increased visual effect as well.

Though I do like the update, ignoring magic skills, It is not that we need flashier weaponskills. What we need is a variety of skills. What I mean by that is body language of the skills.Love the new effects, even though it should have been like that from the start.

Like this in FFXI:

Not saying we need these skills, but ignoring the animation part, you can see drastic changes in body language for a lot of these skills. In this game a majority of weapon skills are either a simple horizontal, vertical, or diagonal slash/hit. Now that in itself is not bad, but there is no variation. If they can do changes and do backhand hits, southpaw strikes(for pugilists), or simple turn around/spin moves it would change the impact and feel in the moves, at least in my opinion. I do like semi-flashy weaponskills, but I do not want a ton of moves like simian thrash, although it is a cool move, it is way to flashy.
Sorry if I did not word this very well.
It is not the quantity of friends you have that determines your worth, its the quality of friends that does.
Well I would like to see simple yet flashy 1 hit moves and similar to FFXI as you get higher level you get the more potent multi-hit/flashy attacks like Dancing Edge, Rampage, Sidewinder with the killer sound effects that go with them. I agree with you to some extent on body language, but some classes lack that like Archer. Unless they give us an Arcing shot or something along those lines but even then you can only go so far without adding the sparkles or the lighting effects.
Actually you would be surprised on how many forms archery has, though I am no great person at it, I have taken archery in the past. There are many forms they could use for this.Well I would like to see simple yet flashy 1 hit moves and similar to FFXI as you get higher level you get the more potent multi-hit/flashy attacks like Dancing Edge, Rampage, Sidewinder with the killer sound effects that go with them. You do make a point, but hopefully with this patch some of the lackluster WS's from before will look more lively. I wish they would adjust the sound to some of them though.
one thing ive noticed that really needs a animation is raise lol, half the time people dont even realize its been casted on them.
and the other half the time if its casted during battle it dont work and the person wont get it .
So the FFXIV development team's solution for fixing the poor lackluster battle effects is simply to make them bigger.
Do you honestly believe that enlarging everything that looks bad will make any significant notable progress?
The first time you enlarged something was fine..doing it again for this is bluntly similar to telling us we are idiots.

Well alot of the effects would look better at 2times the size. Spells and a couple WS's, but some of the stuff needs new animations period. Chaos Thrust looks retarded.
I like this WS
