Hmm. Not sure where the Gamerescape hate is coming from. We care a ton about the non-podcast areas, and the wiki specifically. As was pointed out, the main quest category is not all that helpful, and probably should be changed to identify the various other quest pages like the GC pages and sidequest pages - which show exactly what the OP was looking for. If there are specific things you would like to see on the list pages please let us know and we can see what we can do.

EDIT: i've gone ahead and made that top quest landing page have a bit more information, although it is still probably not the best place to go if you are looking for how to get seals, or quests related to a specific area.

Wow didn't expect a change with so few responses regarding that issue. I'm impressed that your making attempt to improve the site so quickly after my comment. Looks like you need a sort function for reward, and that part is definitely a winner. Having the rewards definitely help a hell of a lot, no doubt about that. Not to make a suggestion or anything. But if you remember ffxiclopedia, they had a groovy option when clicking on missions, and it showed like tiles, or something of each mission set. Like one tile/picture said Rise of Zilart, one WotG, one with campaign. Something similar to that on this page would probably help a little bit as well. I haven't been over to that site in 3 years so idk or care if its changed or anything. But having something like that, so you can click on main story, or click on Maelstrom story-line, or battle oriented content like hamlet, CC, DH, etc. I mean I'd hate to see like the whole format copy and pasted. I don't believe you guys have really hardly any pages dedicated to battle oriented content explaining how each one works, and what to do, etc. But that would definitely be a plus. There's loads of information out there on the internet about the battles, just would be nice to have it all in one place.

FYI, we've gone ahead and updated the Grand Company pages to show a flowchart-like representation of the 7th Umbral Era quest progression. Hopefully it helps anyone trying to get to the end before the end is gone.

Is there really any point? The more convoluted the wiki is now, the harder making adjustments for 2.0 is going to be.
