The quest issue is not an issue at all, honestly it sounds like you're just incredibly lazy.

+1
And another point some quest have a story line when you come back to the quest giver there a video or an interaction. If you dont care about the story line why do you play XD

its just has nothing to do with lazy.. ask any GW2 player that it is much more modern and DYNAMIC gameplay..
just to walk back every silly quest just feels like routine where you are ripped out of the actual gameplay
ehm well you know that there will be actual like over 200 quests.. and more will be added regularly? in FFXIV 2.0. you wont level up by grinding!.. so you will with hundreds of quests .
and im not talking about story missions. -_-
"Completing the quests, getting rewards, huge experience points, or completing a dungeon and getting experience points, that's going to be the key thing to level up your character, not like at the moment where you have to do monster camping or farming, that's not going to work in 2.0."
NOTHING to do with the actual story missions.. there will be story missions besides the quests
and a dynamic system would be even more fine.
its not about "making it easier".. its about a more dynamic gameplay

I just posted that i do all side quest and by running over every town and going out in the field to every spot where we have NPC in the world just to find side quests. And i don't mind if i'm not all class level 50 i love taking my time and enjoy playing while doing thing in real life too.So if they add 200 more side quests bring it on i'll search for them all.

Please, do some more quests. Not in every quest you need to walk back to the starter NPC.
Example: Together we stand (Gridania)
It start in Mor Dhona and end in Gridania
Or Two Vans are Better than One
It start in the Twin Adder HQ and end at the Gridania Airport
