The OP might look at this and ask themselves, "Well I will have paid for 3 months by the end of September", but SE apparently requires that your paid days must all actually occur before the end of September, and the end of the OP's 90 days will leak over into October.

Actually, rather than bill you for the time you have already played, they bill you for the time you will play. So that is why you must have it paid before the end of september, because at that point you'll be paying for october playtime which is, theoretically, the last playable month before version shift/beta test/temporary break in P2P.

Legacy status triggers about as soon as it procs that you have 90 days paid, and since we currently only have 30-day billing periods, as soon as your third billing period hits, you'll recieve it.

Close, though here's where it gets fuzzy. I'm pretty sure Beta starts on October 1st, though your reasoning for why people have to start payment when they do is valid.

Pay on June 30th for all of July : 30 days
Pay on July 30th for all of August : 30 days
Pay on August 30th for all of September : 30 days
(If you want to get technical, these dates aren't precise because some months have 31 days)

If you started on July 7th, it would look something like this
Pay on July 7th : 30 days
Pay on August 7th : 30 days
Pay on September 7th (uh oh, cutoff!) : 23 days worth of payment

You might be correct; I'm not 100% sure of things. Regardless of how it actually works out in the end, SE gave a solid date of June 30th for when people must begin billing.

As for getting my moneys worth with the extended free trial period, don't even get me started.

However back on topic, this is all still very confusing. To me it seems like the 30 day thing was aimed at people who had just bought the game and were going to be on the free trial.

I don't see how it should matter when you sub for the 90 days as even if you sub in July there's still enough time to be billed for 3 months and the page states that it runs until 2.0 launches and not 30th of June.

July is that fuzzy month, and I think the last person covered it. They'll probably only bill you for a portion of a month once September comes. If you pay your last month on September 7th, they'll only charge you for 23 days, thus you wouldn't actually reach a full 90 paid days.

Assuming they actually shut off service on October 1st, they can't actually bill you for time while the service is offline, so that's why they would only bill you for a portion of the September month.

This is all guesswork at this point, but the June 30th day is what SE gave, so I'm just extrapolating from there.

I guess, I was expecting them to shut it down on the 14th as thats a year exactly since they announced it. And even so I find them not making me eligible for that even though they've billed me for the same cost as 30 days hard to believe as thats just underhanded and if it is the case should have been clearly stated rather than just "until 2.0 is launched"

I guess we'll see, I'll fight my corner and dispute them if necessary as I was hoping something great would happen with 2.0 like what I wanted 2 years ago almost and hope it still will.
