What are you expecting? There were at least three major announcements on Lodestone (as well as a header, and the announcement always had priority over other updates), tons of forum topics, several e-mails, and you're saying there is lack of information? What do you want them to do? Come to your house, smash your windows, climb in and announce that there's a new campaign? It is not Square Enix's fault you did not check your spam folder, or that their e-mail is marked as spam in the first place. You can't blame anyone but yourself.

Sorry I don't spend all my time on forums. And I guess I'm a bad person cause I don't check my spam folder that's filled with hundreds of emails because it takes a long time.

The information I was referring to was on the Legacy page and people thinking that June 30th is a definite cut off date, which it isn't by the way. Its a date when you're guaranteed, as in if you pay after you MIGHT not have enough time it all depends when they take the servers down and seeing as I subbed shortly after I could easily have enough time unless they take the servers down in august or very early September.

If 30th was the cut off date then why still display the Legacy information and why keep something so important off all of the clearly visible information and instead put it in the forums. Its not logical.

Because the requirement is 3 months. Think about it for a second, if a person only paid for one month from January to June then they are still eligible til July 30/31st since they already have one month under their belts. They may post more news about Legacy stating that if you still need 2 months to pay the cut off is end of July, then make the final notification that if you still need 1 month August 30/31st is the cut off date.

As it stands now this is how they have been slowly widdling down the amount of people that can gain legacy.

-First limitation was you have to have the game registered before May.
-Second limitation was you have to start actually paying for the game by June 30th if you haven't paid for the game yet.

So if you are wondering why they are still showing the legacy info it's because people who have paid 1 or 2 months already are still eligible for the benefits so the info still needs to be up there so they are aware of it.

Hate to say it vangaurd, but you really shoulda done your homework before you tried to jump in on this.

SE has made several lodestone posts over the last few months regarding this, and there have been more then enough forum thread on people clarifying it.

While I understand that. I also don't think that reading through multiple forum posts should be necessary for this sort of thing. I mean I read the Legacy information on the Lodestone when I came back the other day and made sure that I went over everything mentioned which I did. There was still no release date and when I checked the closest people had guess was October time which also made sense since they announced it on October 14th last year.

That still leaves enough time to pay for 90 days, that's all I'm saying. The information is still rather sketchy though.


As I previously said though, if they do it next month or September I'm fine with that and understand I missed the chance, but as long as I pay the fees for 3 months regardless if I miss a few days to the servers cutting I should still be eligible. Thats all I'm trying to convey as I've said a few times now.

you obviously didnt read everything correctly

sure you paid 3 months, BUT did you pay them by the cutof?

it was pretty clear about paying for it by the end of june, thus, if you pay for it in july, you obviously didnt pay for it by the cutoff, i dont see how you can misunderstand that part of it

Because you're assuming that the end of June was the last chance, which it isn't. It was just a date set because they know that the servers wont be going down until at least 3 months after that in other words, enough time for the 3 month payment to go through etc.

You can still pay for the 3 months afterwards but if you say left it till august or something you might not have time to get it all payed for as they may take the servers down later that month or September etc.

The 30th was not the cut off for the offer. The official page stats until the release, if by some chance it is a cut off then its false advertising and the Legacy page should have been updated with those conditions as its not longer achievable.

This is why I'm led to believe you can still get Legacy as long as you sub very soon as theres still a good few months most likely till the servers go down for 2.0

well if its a gamble, its a gamble, i dont see how anyone in this community can give you any assurances that you will get what you want then

and no dev can give you any confirmation either because if they put it in writing on here they could get held to it if they are wrong.

your choice is simple, wait it out, see if you get it, and if you do, you do, if you dont, you dont

cutoff was for the garauntee, as I've said numerous times now.

Sept may be too late though as that's when the alpha test is. Honestly though there wasn't that much of a lack of information, the first post to the latest post was pretty clear, the only thing that isn't clear is the beta start date. You may see some people say "shouldn't have jumped on the bandwagon"..mostly because what prevented you from subbing to the game in January where you for sure would have had legacy status?
