    Developers are working on "hard" versions of Toto-Rak and Ifrit fight (harder than the current level 50 one) for version 2.0. Rewards will also be more powerful.

    Linking my own old translation about some information that was only posted on French forums.

    We now have the harder Ifrit fight they talked about 6 months ago, think we'll get Toto-Rak (Extreme) in 1.23 or they'll stick to their original plan and make it scalable in 2.0 ?

    Changing Grand Company

    I'm translating this since I think it's the first confirmation that all the ranks will be reseted upon changing Grand Company, previous dev comment about this wasn't set in stone iirc.

    Just to confirm that it will be possible to change your Grand Company in 2.0. However, it will reset all your ranks and will be back at zero.

    It is not the ideal solution to the different objects available at different Grand Companies, but it will at least allow the change for some people.

    It's possible that the dynamic changes made in 1.23 are going to give all the current dungeons "EXTREME" mode because of Dalamud's influence on Eorzea and perhaps create a bunch of one time only events that players can only do before 2.0 for unique gear. It'll definitely be interesting to see the hints in the coming weeks maybe even starting as early as this week.

    It's interesting to see that they have a lv sync in the works though I wonder how well it will actually work, I can imagine they are trying to set it up so that people can't just take advantage of it to make spiritbonding easier since players will have the option to have more than one character on a server they could easily make 8 characters, have them stock up on their leve charges, sync to lv 1-10 depending on what the mininum requirement is to lv sync, burn through all the leve charges and earn bank on quick spiritbonding with little effort. Then if said player is to high to be useful they can just delete the character make a new one and start the process all over again.

    I wonder if the GC change means it'll work like XI where Grand companies are more like "nation" in XI rather then Campaign in XI where changing allegiance just knocked you down 1-2 ranks. It would be pretty lame if changing GC basically meant:

    Grida=Rank 10 change to LL=Rank 0 change back to Grida=Rank 0

    I'm hoping it'll be more like
    Grida=Rank 10 change to LL=Rank 0 change back to Grida=Rank 10 with the limitation of having to wait a RL week to change and perhaps a payment of 50-100k gil or something to that effect.

    Yep, I had a feeling the armoury system would hurt this kind of system (and many other) implementation. It worked beautifully in XI at it's core, just the armor scaling could have been better, but due to the way XIV works, armor already scales in certain ways and designed to be effective/ineffective at designated levels already, level sync would break that.

    Hi there,

    The Development team confirmed to me that the rate to get the rewards in skirmishes is gonna be higher than the rate in other endgame activities (like dungeon and primals).

    Weapons are the only rewards from Skirmishes, and are targeted to those players who can't beat Garuda.

    My French is shaky, so I'd wait for someone to do a better job at translating hue whole thing, but here are some interesting highlights as I understand them:

    - The meeting with Blizzard was about technical aspects. How to handle updates and things like that.

    - 2.0's battle system will be "dynamic" and familiar to players of WoW.

    - He wants to design with the Blizzard mantra that gameplay is the priority.

    - When asked about a Mage class like Red Mage or Summoner being in at 2.0 launch he basically said "I have to say 'no comment' but you should read between the lines."

    - Subscriptions have doubled since he start of billing.
