Either way, I hate speedruns. Promotes class/job stacking. I know people have done it without stacking, but as far as pick up groups go...
This whole game does not need to be done just between LS's. That's all I'm gonna say...

I agree with this sentiment.
And for the people who are unavoidably going to spout the generic dribble about how "Content should be harder to promote Linkshell co-operation!" are ultimately forgetting that this game is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game.
The "Massively" part pretty much speaks for itself, doubly so because it is capitalized. As to what effect having a word capitalized has on it's importance, you'll have to look it up for yourself. Anyway, it's capitalized, and that's that.
Now, why should we be playing a game that promotes it self as "Massively" (remember, capitalized) and have quite a good chunk of the games content force us to all segregate off into our little groups that just don't seem all that massive in the scheme of things? Just doesn't make sense fellas.
I mean, I understand the point of having Linkshells, I just don't understand why the community seems to think so little of one another you can't invite each other into your speed-run parties because you doubt each others' ability.
Though to be fair, a good 80% of you are horrible players and I'd never ever invite you to one of my parties. I mean, really, I hate all so much sometimes. So damn much. I know I'm generalizing when I say 80% of you are bad based on a very small slice but some of you are pretty damn stupid.
It's getting to the point where I'll just go around repairing my party members primal weapons and what-not that they have on repair request for one gil just out of spite.
Why can't we keep difficult content and you can all just step it up a bit and stop being so damn casual.
BLM/WAR onry players are the worst in my experience, and they play the jobs that are most desired for speed-runs, which seems a bit counter productive.
So in short, stop being bad at the game. And SE, stop putting in speed-runs because they are stupid and trivialise content, seriously it isn't heroic to plow through a dungeon as fast as you can and only goes to show how much of a joke the dungeon is if we can just waltz on through it like it's nobodies business and then get extra loot because of it.
I would rather play with a terrible player than one with an elitist attitude problem.Though to be fair, a good 80% of you are horrible players and I'd never ever invite you to one of my parties. Seriously...these are the people that make others too intimidated to join parties.
Give me a good natured and patient "pretty damn stupid" person....over a person like Golnan...anyday.
I dunno, it's nice to go do something in a group and not fail 4-6 times because people keep screwing up. When I want to go do something and get it done, I at least know Golnan won't fuck around if he's put in charge.
Atittude aside, he makes clear what the battleplan is, explains fights to anyone who hasn't done them before etc. He just has zero patience for people who want to go in and be lazy letting others do the work, or refuse to listen to the leader.
Was doing a hamlet the other night, first time over at Aleport Hamlet def. Got picked up for a group with Golnan and he took the time to tell me where stuff spawns and what I need to do. He blew up at a WHM who was sitting in the back.
Of course, this is also the WHM that literally let two of the third liners die (SLOWLY mind you, it's not like they went from full hp to 0 real fast, she had plenty of time) while she just stood there throwing out protects and buffs at stuff with full health. I really wish I had taken a screenshot to show just what this looked like, but she wasn't more than 5 feet away from the first.
I don't think I've seen him chew anyone out unless they actually screw up. Considering how much time he spends outside a fight prepping people, him getting angry when they ignore directions, advice, and guides he passes out isn't too hard to imagine.
At the least, I like getting 60k+ every hamlet defense, four or five times in a row with the guy. He sure as heck gets results if you listen to him.

Here is a word of advice, nice people are cool and all but nice people doesnt help you clear content, good players does. Also, elitists only exists because there are so many bad players around. People dont become picky and bitchy for the hell of it. Its often for a reason.
Most elitists in my servers are nice people if you doesnt play like a monkey and gear like a retard, people are always happy when you help the team win.
That's usually the point of linkshell/guilds...doing things with your same group of people lol. The only reason it's bad in XIV is because no one really takes this game seriously in terms of general users.
