people who complain about having all the/too many weapons, have you considered this...
don't keep all the weapons? do you really use all of them? could you perhaps materialize, trade in for seals the ones you don't use as much. think about it. nobody is forcing you to keep every single weapon, if you want to collect that's fine too. but don't be like "UGHHH sooo many weapons, why can't I hold all these weapons!!!"
As opposed to not having any new weapons at all.

It's not so much about having them all, it's about the fact that we're only getting more weapons. Hamlet defense is great since you get good gear and accessories for all classes (even DoH/DoL), but other than that - should we be happy if all new content will only give us "more" weapons?people who complain about having all the/too many weapons, have you considered this...

SE: Quick all of our rank 50 playes have either done everything or a whining about relic weapons RELEASE MORE WEAPONS!

I've played FF1 to 14 and...in all the other FF's whenever you move to a new town, level up or progress in the story you get new armor, accessories, weapons, spells, etc.
Did this dev team play Final Fantasy? They keep giving us weapons (Which are cool) but where is the armor and other things? I know they are coming in 2.0..and it is right around the corner, but I can't help but wonder this everytime I see more weapons >.> Not complaining..just wondering lol ;o

Weapons are easier to make.
SE is rebuilding the Armour Files from the ground up in 2.0 so we can have a real Dying System. To release Sets of new amazing looks they would have to Build them from the ground up twice. That is massively expensive and, imo, a huge waste of resources.
They would also have to make a Minimum of 15 pieces of highly detailed Armour as opposed to 7 semi detailed weapons.
In recent interviews he actually said that when you claim them it goes to an instance, so the "2 versions" they probably done away with and went with this route instead since he has been saying two different things lately in regards to certain features.
So nothing is fully clear.

What about the additions of dl, hdl, ds, explorer's and militia gear recently? It's not like SE never offers armor as rewards, for all we know the amount of armor that comes out with 1.23 could be huge. This is only the first announcement about new content. It's not so much about having them all, it's about the fact that we're only getting more weapons. Considering that this is the "NM Challenge Type-A/B" that the producer's letter was talking about, I'm guessing we're going to be fighting multiple HNMs in these missions.
Also, I swear I remember him saying that primals will still stay but in a different way, which is the way that we know of now. Never remember him saying that we'll have both forms, considering that it contradicts the way that he views the main primals.

The problem with weapons is they will most likely be side grades.
If we had a diverse choice of drops that would encourage a wider part of the playerbase to participate after the excitement of having a new event dies down.
The concept of Skirmish sounds very Walk of Echoes to me (except being limited to one party >.>) I hope theres successive battlefields to unlock later down the line

Oh haha that does make sense! Well at least for now we getting new contentWeapons are easier to make.
