I've been party to a very small group of friends ever since 5-6 years ago in FFXI, the Inner Circle. We've never been anything more than a social LS with 5-8 people on

Just curious if this is The Inner Circle from Quetzalcoatl, that started after Champions of Vana'diel disbanded? I was in CoV, and had a pearl for IC, but pretty much quit when CoV fell apart. Wanted to say Hi if it is.

I don't think it should matter for social shells, but having one endgame shell isn't out of the ordinary. Linkshells will probably default to social communities anyway once the free companies come out.

Yoshida : We'll keep the linkshell, so players will have several linkshell pearls, they can talk to their friends whenever they want to like a chat community system, while the Free Company is more like a guild, you can't be in several guild, you can only select one Free Company. You can have several linkshells, it's more casual so that you can chat with your friends, while the Free Company is more like a strong community, you have to stick to one.
