    Alpha is by definition an internal staff only test, so it doesn't make sense that anyone would be in on alpha.

    Incorrect. Players participated in the previous XIV Alpha like.. 6 months before it released. lol. People will be able to get into the alpha test.

    ninjedit: Also, players have participated in alphas for other MMOs. Rift, maybe TERA, and definitely PSO2. So.. players will get into the alpha.
