I got caught in the collatoral damage of a thread last week, even though I didn't break any rules seemingly. So just be warned if your posting in a inflamitory thread, don't even quote inflamitory posts as it seems you will catch the painfull end of the stick as well.

To be on point of the topic though...

I think the entire forum has a long way to go in respecting one another for their ideals and opinions. I too often see the "Casual vs Hardcore" war just flat out turn into both sides spitting vitrol regardless of the topic at hand it usually gets put on the back-burner and the limelight becomes who can post the most witty retort about the other side of the argument.

We need to discuss things like adults. If you come to the forums and are not willing to be civil with everyone then it's those people who need to "Get out"

The title made me think, perhaps insanely-so, a full party of judge templars running around in-game with a trail of screenshots of their adventures and/or conquests.

At a glance, the English-speaking judge templars that I could find were:
Baccanale, Xophious, Emdub, Qeepel, Bublex, Skirata, Jhanaka, Baudle, Duckbill, and Aethingie

Oh my Twelve, I've foreseen it with my crystal ball of yarn.
On the day the servers go down before the 2.0 beta.
It happens when the servers can't go down until all the players have been logged off.
Players enjoying the present before the world is remade in Yoshida's image.
The judge templars arrive in full armor.
And so the GMvP content begins.
The GMs run into the towns, through the wards, kicking down inn doors, and chasing people into instances.
They cast spells that make our characters die horrible Mortal Kombat-like deaths.
The GMs decide to reverse our anima on us. They teleport us out of whatever activity we're doing and into the jail.
From there, Yoshida walks by the cell, giving us one last smile, a wink, and a thumbs up...
And then the GMs unleash old-style AoE fury in our jail cell (the AoE that does not have a maximum target cap).
It may only look like 40 of us die, but the entire server population is in that jail cell. The new engine will show more characters dying.
The blood option may have been implemented during this vision as I distinctly remember the judge templars being soaked in red.
The GMs would have taken many screenshots and videos, treasuring the moments that they got to learn us a lesson. Yes, they learned us... to death.
Our characters are consequentially banned for a month (no beta entry), lose Legacy status, oh...
and Gobbue dies. Spoilers, sorry.

I do take it to far sometime, ya. Though, you should be happy that I do care about the game. I want it to be successful and not like every other mmo that's being released with big hype and falling. Do I even have to name them? That's what is going to happen with this MMO if they keep copying others. They have to do something unique, that everyone is going to be like "WOW, this game is amazing, i can play it for 10years". So far everything that I have seen will diminish those 10 years to maybe a few years. The people who will stay are going to be FF fans, ya know, people who played FFXI/any FF. SO, they might as well cater to their core fans(ffxi) before catering to everyone else. Everyone else will just jump the boat as soon as they see something they don't like.

The best rout they could have done was made a FFXI-2 just like guild wars did with their second mmo.

A lot of people here play since launch and before. Any of these people care this game much as you, or they would'nt play until now. Caring the game thou don't make you special. There's a limit ow people can be pedant on a feature he like; limit you cross far too often.
also, what you say don't have any sense:
-you want a unique mmorpg, but you want ffxi-2...a sequel (and a sequel of a very niche game too)
-you say the ones will remain with such features will be only FF fans, when the features you have in mind come from western mmorpgs and are a standard de facto, aimed to cater a wider audience. But hardly a carbon copy
-ffxi hardcores are the one least willing to western features

Next time pls, don't look the finger pointing at the moon please. There are planned good features aside the one you hate
