Perhaps so, though if I seem to upset a group of people in the street, I sure as hell don't hang around to see if they'll grow to like me, regardless of if what I'm saying is of importance to them.

I understand that some people may see threads unnecessary or inflammatory by their nature, but the only acceptable avenues for this are to either ignore the thread, add the poster to your ignore list, or reporting the thread to the moderator. Taking it upon yourself to post aggressive or inappropriate comments only runs the risk of backlash when it comes time to moderate the thread.

Rokien will go on my ignore list the moment they make ignore list = that person's posts or threads do not exist. Or I'll settle for the post being completely impossible to see, not just "Hey look! LOOK HERE! THIS GUY! YOU KNOW THIS GUY WHO YOU IGNORED!!! Yeah. He posted here. RIGHT HERE! ... do you wanna see it?"

When I put someone on ignore, there should be no indication that he posted at all, anywhere, on my screen. No indication of his threads on my interface, not even on the popular topics.

The fact that Roiken baits players to pull his topics at the top of the Hotlist bypasses all attempts to put him on ignore. Until that feature functions in a manner that prevents abuse of the forum system as described above, it is simply more productive to report or risk moderator action to insure that his threads get locked and his behavior properly criticized.

I've never seen you be anything but a sweetheart Rokien. You just state your opinion a heck of a lot - unpopular ideas a lot of the time I guess. I think that's what people have against you. I've never once seen you make a personal attack against anyone despite all the hateful, inappropriate and immature harassment you get.

And that shouldn't go without note. But there are other ways of being abusive. And perhaps I'm not considering his age in this regard, but being a nice guy, and 'that' nice guy are entirely two different distinctions.

He's breached the tolerance level of quite a few people on these boards. And although he can be polite about it, he has to realize that what he's doing is excessive, and excessive is wrong as well.

As I stated before, if he condenses down his ideas into something unified and compact, it'll show a greater depth to his thinking and quite simply seem less like spam for the attention and more like genuine ideas that reach towards an understandable goal - even if that goal is agreed or disagreed with.

With all due respect, the tolerance level of people on these forums is quite low and they're quick to jump down someone's throat about anything.

If you have a problem with him personally, perhaps constructive criticism is better than jumping at the chance to report him for not agreeing with the way he posts. I mean no disrespect, I hope you don't see this that way. Just a suggestion.

I honestly don't feel that he's seeking attention with his threads, but rather trying to get people to think about things, and fighting hard for what he believes in. He just ends up with a lot of those "GTFO your idea sucks" people. ._.; (Not saying you're one of them. D: )

I just wish people would treat each other with more kindness and respect. You don't deserve all the hate you get. I just wanted you to know that. I don't mean to take sides or anything like that. Would just be nice to see more tolerance for each others differences. We don't have to agree with someone all the time to show them respect.

Yeah, you will get temp banned from the forums at the very least.
