Customers Currently on the 90-Day (or 180-Day) Subscription Plan

Well, they said 8 per server.
Right now we have 10 servers, so I made some math. I could be somewhat wrong there

8 Per server with a maximum of 40 characters. And yeah there's 10 servers now, but there will be more added once PS3 version comes out. You can put 8 characters each on 5 servers, or if we ever reach 40 servers then you could only put one on each xD

Ok so I've a question that I wasn't seeing an answer to, so perhaps someone can help.

I reup'd my game a couple of weeks ago using the 30-day plan. Then I spotted the announcement about the legacy thing and 90 days going away. So, since I'd been having fun I figured why not and changed to the 90-day plan.

They haven't billed me for the 90 days yet, but this was in the last announcement:

Returning Players
Players who played before January 5, 2012 and wish to resume playing again will need to register for a 90-day subscription before Saturday, June 30, 2012 in order to fulfill the requirements needed to qualify for the Legacy Campaign.

Has anyone any experience with this? Or am I gonna need to call them?

You'll probably be fine. Even without registering a 90 day plan, you'll get legacy as long as you have 90 days in total (regardless of payment method) and registered the game before may 31st.

Ok, cool . I noticed in the faqs (which I also posted a question there along the same lines, my apologies for cross-posting ><) that they state the 90 days needs to come before the start of 2.0 beta testing, which it sounds as though that won't start until September. So looks like I may have just made it in time haha.

It should show up on your next billing cycle. That's what happened with me.

Soooo... I guess the point of my original post was totally lost on everyone. I know why they did what they did, removing the option to pay for more time than remains for 1.x. I'm not debating that. What I was pointing out here is that those players who wanted to pay bulk rates, should have had the ability to pay for one 180 day period, and one 90 day period. Instead, they have forced everyone who initially took the 180 day option to pay for three 30 day periods.

I just noticed that another of my accounts which I tried to change will not allow me to set the 90 day or 180 day option anymore

Right now I pay 9.99 a month or 27.99 for 3 months for 1 character slot on 1 server.

Because I'm a loyal customer, I'm being "punished" and forced to pay 9.99 a month for 8 characters per server and a total of 40 characer slots.
