Agreed. But what i meant is, was that fixing part of the problem or fixing the whole problem?Without going into wild interpretation and chain of conspiracy theories that have no base in reality, the answer is simple: "Because they were way too small".
Problem -> Fix. That's normally how it works.
Mind you, the scale of the FX and the design of the FX are two separate problems, and require separate fixes. Even if they planned to change the design of the effects, they would have still been too small to be really appreciated.
