World Transfer Service

I was wondering if there will ever be a world transfer service like they had to FFXI. This may be way to early to even be asking this question, but I wonder if this will be something that they will eventually implement. I ask this because I have a friend that's on another server that might want to go to my server (Wutai) without having to go recreating his character.

I know that this may be too early in asking for this, seeing as how FFXIV is a few months old, but I still figured I'd give it a try.

Yes please I want to leave my dead server but keep my character.

I'm sure eventually it will be, but I would consider rerolling since you can level a new character now faster then they will probably give this option.

No worries Quadboy, I am sure eventually they will add world transfers. It is just that there are so many more important things atm. Also your friend should reroll if they do not, Wutai rocks. O.o

This probably isn't likely to happen for a while. I mean, I'd like to switch servers as well but it's probably not a good idea at this stage. People want to leave underpopulated servers in favour of ones with a larger population. If this were available it would make the populations even lower on certain servers forcing SE to remove the transfer service or start merging servers already.

What they need to do is combine some of the lower populated servers together. Karnak has very few people on it ; ;

Agreed, I miss the populations we had in the first months of FFXIV. I don't feel like this is going to happen until SE is happy with content and reintroduces the monthly fee.

Naw we're just quiet and have a large Japanese base. Log on around 8 - 9 pm PST and you'll see lots of people.

I know, I am on on that time all the time, however it shouldn't depend on that. There are others on the server that dont have the luxury of logging on at that time.
