My Hamlet Strat

Part of the reason was one of our founding members was a tool who would leave to play every other mmo beta and new release for weeks at a time and then expect to come back and act like nothing happened. lets see how his new shell responds when that happens

I gave your article a quick read through and only noticed one glaring inaccuracy. Turning in a hate reset does NOT wipe player hate. Or anyone's hate for that matter. The called order mechanic seems to go something like cart gets +1000 (made up value) ENM on top of the player or npc with the most hate. When it is removed the mob will return to whoever was previously on the top of the hate list.

When it is removed the mob will return to whoever was previously on the top of the hate list.

From what we experienced with calling orders to carts you might be right, but usually im the one doing the hate reset buffs and what i experience is every mob has no hate indicator but 1-2 that i get hate from for turning the buff in. all the mobs seem to go back to the front line unless the archers hit them on the way back through and they go to that specific archer. it seems that the NM is different cuz he doesnt pay attention to any of the buffs or debuffs we hand in he just seems to get hate from actions done to it, unless its an order he issued.

As far as the torches being brought out, we better have gm's monitor all hamlets from now on and anyone who uses this strategy should have to pay Valour a fee since they thought of it and without them we would all be wiping to the first wave of mobs in every hamlet.

Pretty sure it does. But if you happen to be in range when they are running around looking for targets, they'll hit you.

Nope, this is easy to test yourself. Turn in an item 5 seconds before NM calls an order (note - he will call an order exactly 1 min after the last one was broken). Wait for the order and when it comes watch your hate go green. Have someone turn in a reset after they reach the cart. Watch your hate go flashing red again.

No idea what happened there on yours. I almost always go straight back to crafting without getting hit after a hate reset. "The almost" part is because I might have been running from some mobs already chasing me.

More than likely you lost aggro to an archer as it was pathing back to you then. (or other turn-ins)

Cthulhu is right. Turning in a hate reset does not reset all hate to 0 or all hate to archers. It resets the hate to whatever it was right before orders were redirected.
