Hi, this is Yoshida, the Producer/Director.

Does this mean that the yukata for this summer’s event is sexy gear? Patch 1.23 is the last update for FFXIV 1.0, so I am worried that the implementation of sexy gear has been forgotten. Please give me an update on sexy gear.

As I stated in my letter, there are several things planned for patch 1.23 that I have to keep under wraps. I can tell you that players will be able to obtain sexy gear through some secret content in patch 1.23 that I cannot yet speak on, so please hang on a little longer!

It's already been confirmed by a JP dev some time ago that we'll get yukata and geta slippers. Whether or not they're "sexy" or more traditional is up in the air.

Unless those plans have completely changed. I'll be sad if they have.

Yes I'm quite aware of this already and since it was not confirmed by a Dev stating specificly only the Yukatas and Getas this event, I'm sure we can obtain the swimsuits. Unless you show me otherwise it will be obtainable next summer event just like the Easter hats were.

I'm guessing we'll have both Yukatas and swimwear which will be obtainable in a different manner.

Im sure SE can find a way to make a yukata incredibly slutty ~ so it's still up in the air at this point ~ have to wait :'(

Or its ignorant to think swimsuits are the only 'sexy' gear. Try, new underwears (Not swimsuits, but like lingerie), something akin to bunnysuits, any other fitted/revealing clothing.

During the first Letter from the Producer LIVE, one of the questions was about sexy gear. This was from October, so after the Firefall Faire. Why would they be referring to adding swimsuits as sexy gear in 1.22 or 1.23 if they had already been added to the game?

Q: When are you planning on introducing cool and sexy gear?

A: Cool and sexy gear, huh… Actually, it so happens that we've been looking into this. For starters there'll be job-specific equipment, and other equipment for classes, such as crafters or gatherers which is something we'd like to get right. This is on the white board and is clearly a must have feature so we'll be giving it priority. Regarding sexy gear and what to expect, it should be released as part of 1.22 or 1.23. That may sound a long way off but we are focusing and duly working on it so please keep your expectations high.
