Get your BLM or WAR to 50 now.
Get your BLM or WAR to 50 now.
I have a new policy.
Every time someone tells me to level a job I do not already desire to level. I add another month to the time I wait to level it, on top of the time it takes for me to get the desire to - starting now.
No one has the right to tell anyone else what to play or how to play it. Especially people whom I will likely never have the displeasure of meeting in game or in life. To suggest otherwise is flat out rude and my tolerance for it has been exhausted.
(To clarify for things like Primal Fights. You explain the strategy and the reasons. That's cooperative play, not dictatorship)

I think he's more or less trying to point out how FFXIV's community works.I have a new policy.

We share a similar mentality. There are specific classes that don't seem to interest me, and there are those that really peak my interest. BRD and DRG are two classes I love in this game. But I also have WHM leveled for support. Guess who has to play WHM at every linkshell event (outside of the occasional time when I am not forced at a main event) and most times when I'm helping out other people? Yep that's me. I love playing DRG and BRD but I never really get a chance to shine. And the next class I've been asked to level is WAR or BLM, because if I want to do damage, I need to have BLM (Best DD in the game basically) and if I want to tank, I have to have WAR (Tank yadah yadah yadah).
The path to staying as DRG will be a difficult one for sure. I'm personally going to level what I want, when I want, because my playtime is very limited. Both of us don't need to have to switch to another class. But this community is very unwelcoming when it comes to min/maxing. Trust me, you're going to have fun trying to get into a Garuda fight as DRG.
I agree completely. Dragoon is an extremely powerful asset in Garuda.
However try convincing this community to take a well geared Dragoon over a well geared Warrior.
Personally for me, I have had no luck.
Personally, I'd rather take someone who knows what they're doing, than someone fully decked out in the 'best' gear.
If you have both, then no brainer.
