Accessory-wise, yes, it is a good idea to have a full set of Tourmaline, Rubelite, and Electrum Rings in order to be able to gear accordingly. On fights in which my linkshell has used DRG recently, i.e. Myrmidon Princess and Garuda, we've needed to gear for around 460 or more base accuracy to not miss Impulse Drive. On most other fights, you won't need as much.
A good number to keep in mind, then. However, why the use of piety rings? According to my understanding they're primarily used for Auto Attack damage, and the new Weapon Skill modifier on them still caps fairly easily through other means. Is there a build in mind that utilizes these rings?

I'm thinking of picking up some Rubelite though anyways. (All hail my crafter/miner friend Neelia - as she gives such gifts.)

    Tips
Marco blood for blood+Blindside is not too bad.
    Keen flurry with Doom spike.
    Hawk eye> VT> ID > RoT/CT most of time
Each miss use feint combo/full thrust right away.
Also grab throwing weapon for extra tp.
Ifrit: if you has good rhythm you can do pretty good with combo even with sear.
Garuda: go watch video with all job one you will get the basic idea.
    Moogle: just watch out flare.
    Keep Power surge 24/7.
Ant Princess: get rhythm with pop timing with guard.
Miser: nothing much can said with this one.
Coincounter: watchout hate reset move and 100 ton swing.
Chimera bring a mnk with you to incap tail, watch sand trap, watch Voice of ram, fight middle of room.
what else tips we can add here?

I have seen some DRG's only doing Doom Spike in vids, but when I tried that the parser would mess up and couldnt tell if I improved DPS or not. lol

So question is: Whats our proper rotation?
Inivgorate -> PSIII if you can before even entering.
Start: Doomspike combo (keen flurry, blindside, b4b doomspike)
    CT combo
    RoT combo
By then he should be red lol.

Before Hellfire: CT/RoT combo with discretion, use keen on CT.

After Hellfire: I just use Doomspike, will CT combo if a radiant plume positioning allows it.

Haven't done it as DRG in a bit, but I think that's right ><

Looking forward, I think it's a good idea to budget your GC seals. There are some indications that the 25,000 seal key item will be used in some kind of AF/relic weapon upgrade questline, and we have a lot of evidence that each major content patch introduces new GC gear, some of which might be substantial upgrades instead of the incremental upgrade that a 40 DPS GC weapon would be over a 38.7 DPS Hart +1.

Piety is something to gear for when STR and ACC are at their relevant caps. It is less valuable point-for-point than STR, but still useful. See http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...l=1#post607045 for more information.

To each their own; I have been working on hitting my STR/PIE caps (330/296 atm o.o), and between hawk's eye and stuffed cabbage I don't have any trouble hitting...but that's with Ifrit's Harpoon. With the Hart Guisarme, I didn't have to worry about either hawks or cabbages.

I did manage to get myself a Hart +1 just recently, and have noted the improvement already on many of my skills. Hopefully when my crafting gets up there I'll be able to make my own Hart +1s and experiment with melding. However Carpenter will likely be more focused on supporting my Throwing Spear addiction >.> (those things are a boon in chaotic fights, but damn are they expensive!)

I even got complimented by one of my event leaders as to how well I was preforming. Of course, it's a casual group, and I feel like I've something to prove with Dragoon/Lancer. It is nice to know that my efforts are getting noticed, even when I've a long ways yet to go.

For the meanwhile, however Paragon's is out of the question. With my limited game-time I have to plan and choose what I do with the time I have on and I've flatly no interest in touching some of the other classes/jobs, partly for fear of being married to them. (I've never enjoyed how FF has handled full blown mages.) As having all classes to 50 is the prerequisite for Paragon's that makes it impossible to achieve.

I am the kind of person who enjoys pushing the most out of fewer jobs rather than distribute my focus, and I absolutely will not sacrifice my enjoyment of the game simply for loot. When I do level the other jobs. It'll be done at a natural pacing, rather than in order to get x item or to satisfy a meta-game tactic.

That said, leveling other classes to support pushing my Lancer/Dragoon is inevitable, as there are many high level skills that Lancer in particular benefits from. Not to mention gear upgrades that require Double and Tripple melds.

This now being stated, I'm looking for some various hunting grounds to farm monsters for their drops to financially support my Dragoon while I get my crafting jobs up. (Focus being Crafting Jobs starting with Carpenter, Cullinarian and Alchemist, and Armorer before moving on to gathering jobs. Of course moving back and forth between as is convenient and necessary, as well as specific days set aside for DoW/M leveling.)

I've one camp already so far, but am looking for alternatives in the case that the market floods for this particular mob.
