yes FFXIV been in the works for 5years but 4+ of that was waiting for crystal tools release they only start making the game about 1year before E3 2009 by the look of it so ya i blame the CEO and crystal tool.
Still doesn't matter they could still made the content and ported it over. Just like yoshi and his team is doing now.
