Request: Devs, can we have an alternative way to get the Disciple of the Land hats?

i have 0 dol classes but the idea of getting items for a class requires doing something with that class is a popular one across the board notably in the great big relic post.

where people in the relic quests were saying why should they have to be a botanist to obtain an item for there warrior or something. and it seems over here te disciples of the land want the same thing.

would be ironic if they got it though and the dow/dom didnt.

None of this has to do with relics. Nobody even mentioned having to level up a DoW/M. We want a different way to get our JSE. DoW/M got their AF quests, why don't we get that same chance. This is our job hats, not relics.

I think what my point was, was that people were saying they want to be able to get stuff for there fisherman using there fisherman, which is a common thing people want across many subjects for all classes.

It's no different having a fisherman needing to use dow/dom to get his hat or something than it is for a dragoon who has to run av as blm to get the 17 minute times needed for his relic.

and while yes hats are armor and stuff doh/dol get there tools using there crafts instead of there armor.

I think if a botanist can get everything he ever needs be it tools armor or other gear doing nothing but botany then drg/pld/mnk etc should be able to do the very same thing.

Again, you're confusing the relic quest with the AF quests. This isn't about relics. This is about AF armour. If I recall correctly, a dragoon, or a bard, or a paladin can do all of his or her AF quests as a dragoon, bard, or paladin. This is no different. Us gatherers want to actually gather to earn our AF.

When Yoshi gives us relic fishing rods, pickaxes, and hatchets, then the issue of needing other classes can be raised. Until then, this is about AF gear, which is, even in this game, a nice self-contained little questline. That one can do entirely as their chosen (required) class/job.

EDIT: In addition, the fact that the DoWs and DoMs get full quests and lore and backstory and what have you for their AFs while we gatherers get... a 1% drop? That's insulting. I realise the AF armour for DoM/W is tied to the job system and it was also a way to introduce the jobs, but we need some loving too. Let the Fishermen's Bottom award the new AF to dedicated fishers. Let the Miner's Guild give the new hat to miners who don't spend all day oggling the strip- the dancing girls.
