Really? You're solo'ing Hamlet? lol.The entire event is based on solo players, so obviously it wasn't anticipated that a linkshell would all work together to get the top 3 spots. I never claimed that a linkshell working together would get less than a solo player, I said that I didn't like it. Learn to read I suppose.
How is the "entire" Hamlet event "based" on solo players?
I'm helping run a secondary LS for the sole purpose of getting people their relic weapons, and as such seals from hamlet defense. Although we haven't stacked our donations like others have just yet, we will.

7UP!
Thanks for sharing your valid and worthwhile opinions.
Then would you please not lambaste people merely for enjoying an event that you do not? The event is not perfect, but some people genuinely enjoy the fact that acting cooperatively reaps dividends, there are few enough opportunities for us to truly come together as a community. I personally have only done Hamlet a handful of times, and only been on the top twenty once (and this was back when that was extremely easy to do in Alesport) but I personally find the thought that there is something beyond my simple horizon, something I envy and aspire to, extremely refreshing.
Yes the relic quests can be tedious, even impossible, but they are hardly the only content in the game. Perhaps if you did not focus so much on content you have, by your own volition, excluded yourself from, you would not feel so bitter about people who are enjoying it.

Any time.
being this thread was regarding people who actually do enjoy hamlet defense or at least tolerate it for the purpose of finishing a quest, I don't think this was the right place for such a post.
That may be true, and I apologize for the slip of the tongue. I was still reeling a bit trying to work through how Hamlet was a solo event and let my emotions get the better of me.
That being said, Hamlet Defense from a mechanical perspective appears to be extremely finely tuned to encourage cooperative, intra-linkshell play. The high cost of Rank 2 ensures that anyone going for a seal wants the top twenty in the 200k range (encouraging pooled supplying). Meanwhile, the rankings for higher tier rewards makes it much more likely that Rank 2 will always be met. Everything points toward this event being built, from the ground up as a cooperative event.
Just because some of us may like to solo most of our content, does not make it so. Everything I have seen, personally, by second hand accounts, and on these forums, points to the fact that a lot of people are getting together, playing as a group, and cooperating on a massive scale to accomplish Hamlets. That is far from a bad thing for the longevity of an MMO.
