I thought we were talking about the other kind of cheesecake, you know, the kind that is technically the opposite of beefcake >.>I've come to make everyone jealous of my delicious cheesecake.

Perhaps, but either way I'd rather talk about the one that's delicious.
NY is good, but I like to experiment.

This conversation is about both kinds of cheesecake.
And no, both are yummy. :3
I think jumping should have a cool down of 5 seconds or something so people can't just jump jump jump jump jump there way across the world :P or they could implement a slow charging stamina bar. I want jump in this game, tbh I think some platforming aspects would really spice up the exploration side of this game. I imagine a scenario where I have to jump and grab on ledges and pull my self up and shimmy around narrow ledges to get to that extra special tree or mining point or a mountaintop valley with unique mobs that drop a certain rare item. Spout "this is a MMORPG not Assassin's Creed/Uncharted!" all you want, I still think it would be a nice touch and it'd be funny to see other players epic fail gap jumps and plummet to their deaths haha
I dont think SE made things more expensive.. the surge of RMTs and gil buyers made EVERYTHING more expensive.. just a matter of time before it happens on XIV too.You sort of missed the point.
Instead of looking at things and saying "okay, we were really stupid to make those COR bullets difficult to make and require expensive materials. We should change that so that more people play the job as we designed and intended", the devs looked and said "well, they're subbing WHM and only using their hexaguns for Quick Draw. They're brought to events (even if its only as backup curebots!), so all is well. BALANCE!". You want to talk about slaps to the face, ask the pirate gambler that finds himself being a cure b*tch for his group.
Adding a jump button isn't peeling any layer of identity away from FF knuckle head. It is just a simple action to please the masses without taking away anything from the game. It adds the feeling off mobility to a game that should have at least that much. It is the fans who are unwilling to accept the changes that come to all different FF titles is the thing that is peeling away layers.Sigh
Damn you SE. God damn you.
One more layer of identity you are willingly flaying away. Just keep at it until there is nothing left but numbers at the end of the Game's Title and Chocobos. Surely that will be enough to stand out. No doubt that will be what keeps your MMO at the forefront of everyone's mind.
