I know but I was only referring to the relics and the process of it given the flow of the thread.I'm not really arguing for the case, but people could want to actually use those class only weapons and a rich enough player might want a triple meld it to make it stronger or just to show off.
Alternatively you don't really need a real reason.
But I digress, that really wasn't the point of my first post.
I was referring to your post not hers/hisNotice also that in Amy's example she was talking about a Cobalt Claws+1, which is clearly not an Avengers.
She was just mentioning a nice story that is not exactly about the relics but related to the 'false multimeld' log output (which can be defacto confusing if you work that way, yes!)
sorry clicked on the quote on the wrong post
I can see later down the line that there will be leaser relic like weapons. Like in 11 they made Mystic's then there was Abyssea weapon's. It got easier right after the other just you watch we'll end up with weaker type relics. But some way they be good in there own right. Just you see i betcha.
Let my Fishing people go! At least make fishing a second class one for boring and other for hardcore Fishers!
You have no idea what you're talking about. For example, I work 60 hours a week average, and regularly go hiking / play sports / get drunk on weekends. I fit right into your "2hr play time per day" example, but without the weekend. I'll be going for WHM relic. Already started, actually. Sure, it'll take months, but these weapons are supposed to be long-term goals.
In fact, I'm insulted by your generalization that anyone going after these goals must have no real life or real job. I'd tell you what my job is, but you wouldn't believe me anyway.

Meh, why be upset by a generalization created out of ignorance? You have no idea what you're talking about. Some people simply have more time than others do, for whatever reason.
I avg. about 4hrs a day and it still feels a bit overwhelming, but I also know this is a long term content, so I'm not all that uptight about it. =) 8.3k seals in out of 25k >.< LOL.
Based on my gut feeling and read of this development team, I think it would be somewhat a waste to pursue a relic, unless you really have a lot of time to play. They just keep introducing new weapons and with materia you can really max out your character with a little patience/luck. Plus, I believe yoshi will have level cap raises pretty frequently once 2.0 kicks off, so it is likely relics will be a grind to maintain their probably (marginally) superior stats. But I guess it depends on your perspective. To me the investment isn't worth it.

With stat caps come upgradeable relics? Hopefully they stay BIS for awhile. So sick of grinding for weapons
