Could of been that he had two single melded ones and he got success on the first and pushed his luck on the second. Not uncommon. I used to do 5 or more double meld tries, get success early on and proceed to blow up the rest with no luck. I actually tricked a friend into thinking I x4 melded a pair of Cobalt Claws+1 then blew 'em up on the 5th try when I actually just melded four +1 claws and failed the first double meld, lol. Good times.
Whats the point of tripling anyway?Could of been that he had two single melded ones and he got success on the first and pushed his luck on the second. Not uncommon. I'm sure I'll try to get one at some point... not for a while though.
This is definitely real hardcore content -- and while I don't consider myself a casual player, I'm not on nearly enough to work through all that anytime soon.

Could even be the item is not accepted if its not exactly double, if you triple you just wasted it as it might not be accepted. But yeh stats dont carry over.
I'll make a solid attempt at it. It's pretty simple compared to XI's relic system (pre being able to solo dyna)
I'm not really arguing for the case, but people could want to actually use those class only weapons and a rich enough player might want a triple meld it to make it stronger or just to show off.
Alternatively you don't really need a real reason.
But I digress, that really wasn't the point of my first post.
Notice also that in Amy's example she was talking about a Cobalt Claws+1, which is clearly not an Avengers.
She was just mentioning a nice story that is not exactly about the relics but related to the 'false multimeld' log output (which can be defacto confusing if you work that way, yes!)
