Not to mention the seals will probably only get easier to get over time with new levels of hamlet that appear.

But it isnt. Hamlet you can go in and do hamlet over and over and over, and you can NEVER progress.the point viion is that dynamis was just as much of a RNG as hamlet is. The point is if you don't have a group to pool up the drops to 1 person its going to take a lot of hours to get the seals (150hours is a good estimate). You can't really say that 150hours for a full group of 8ppl to have all 9 seals is unnacceptable can you?
some mathz:
2k dynamis runs => 2-3hours per run (includes gather time/setup etc)
300 hamlet runs => 2 runs per hour
------------
dynamis is going to take around 4,000hours or more to get a group each a relic
hamlet is going to take 150hours to get a relic
------------
you pick whats better?
You cannot do dynamis over and over and over and never progress, its impossible due to how its built.
Understand the argument and again understand:
TIME IS NOT THE ISSUE.
HOLY SHIT how many times do i have to say this. I dont care if it takes 10 years or 10 days to get a relic.
The issue I have is that ITS RANDOM when you get it.
The issue is it REWARDS PLAYERS BASED ON RANDOM NUMBERS.
It does not reward people who are dedicated, who work hard, who are skillful and loyal.
You just need to be LUCKY and you WIN.
LUCK * X = WIN = RELIC
Simples!
This is TOTALY phalse advertising I have done many many many dynamis and got ZERO drops in the run, this is identical to getting no seals. they are both RNG stop lying to yourselfBut it isnt. Hamlet you can go in and do hamlet over and over and over, and you can NEVER progress.

if you want to compare worst case, compare best case right beside it, since then you can also finish your seals in 9 total runs
its got the same exact chances of happening you realize
randomness gives people good with bad, its not always negative, stop focusing on only negative

The major problem is it's a linkshell event, I would rather cut myself than attempt to do this in a pick up group. Once the majority of your LS has the seals, it would take a week of casual play to get a new person theirs. Three days hardcore play. Double melding really isn't that much to cry about. The only thing that sucks is some materia are more available than others. Going to be alot of monks running around with relics....
While I agree it's very discouraging to casual Timmy and they need some sense of progressing, I would guess this wasn't their intent when they put the quest in.

I really like the 5M per seal idea, this would almost instantly remove billions of gil from the economies and really prep the whole system for 2.0's launch. I hope they implement some kind of option like this.
This would give someone who HATES hamlet an option for consistent progress, they could spend 5hours doing hamlet in a night and get maybe 1 seal? or spend several nights farming/crafting/gathering etc and make the same progress. Also the idea that even if someone is in the UBER rich category it still doesn't give them the AF for any less then 45M + the melded weapon and you would still need help getting AV/CC parts done.
The richest players I know sit around the 150~250M marker which would give them quick access to maybe 2-3 relics. But imo the type of ppl who horde gil are the ones who would not blow it all on AF, maybe just 1 AF if any.
Sorry lol you're just so wrong.
That is great that you can finish it in 1 week, thats wonderful great, do i care? Nope, because the person who got it in 1 week or 9 runs, got it on LUCK.if you go in to hamlet and never progress, you have the worst luck in the world

Gimme a break... 60K chest now is 60% drop rate on seal.... (Based off going 12/20 since patch)

WS damage comes from a weapon's base damage, not its DPS. Weapon skills are not a "damage over time" -- they're instant. Delay of a weapon has absolutely nothing to do with WS damage.

Man my friend got Heavy dark light body on his first speed run and he was dead the whole fight. He sure was an Skilled player to obtain such an rare item.
