So im a little confused on the beta timeframe. I know that 2.0 is expected to launch along with the ps3 version in january of 2013. In the interview Yoshi mentions it taking up to a month to transfer character data from 1.23 to 2.0 and that our beta characters will not be the ones we have now.

so...

does that mean from like oct-nov we have our beta char and then we get to play 2.0 with our original characters from say nov-jan, or do we have to wait until january to get our characters into 2.0?
