When someone says they are "optimizing" the engine, then it suggests they are making it better. But actually they just took a shortcut and lowered all the texture resolutions and terrain mapping instead.

Optimizing - To Rearrange or rewrite (data) to improve efficiency of retrieval or processing.

That is what their goal was and exactly what they are doing, this is what happens when people read what they want and not what is writen.

Anyway as has been stated before, SE usually takes SS on the janitor's PC instead of one with everything maxed out, I will find the quote and edit it in later.
