The special bonuses on the weapons are:

PLD: Increased Spirits Within DMG
SHI: None
MNK: Increased Shoulder Tackle DMG
BRD: Increased Song Duration
WHM: Increased Holy DMG
BLM : Increased Flare DMG over time
MRD: Reduced Vengeance Recast
These folks are relics.
Not asking for easy, just asking for less grind
And you could easily get outta dyna with enough currency for stage 1 unless you had no idea what to do in dyna. Dyna was also alot more fun. And there were relic gears that dropped as well so even if you were not the one getting the weapon you could be one working on getting thf hands or rdm hats and such. It was multi-functional. At least a few ppl always came out of dyna with something they wanted/needed in every run I ever did in xi. Cant say that here.
And yes look at those stats but again, not worth the grind for me. With a full time job and rl friends and things to do I can do without 800 runs to hamlet. If they made it more challenging, engaging and fun that may change my mind and I would perhaps put time into it, meaning logging in more and playing for longer periods. But just grinding...meh. I may not have a relic weapon but like Ive said in the past, having a full set of darklight and now a relic weapon will not impress me, I will be more apt to think, oh look at that poor player with no life outside of the game, must be lonely only talking to real ppl via vent.
If you played FFXI you know they had trial of the magians to upgrade your relics whenever the cap was raised beyond 75. SE could do the same thing here, its that the trails of the magians were very tedious and boring. In its original form it was like use your WS 1500 on mobs that give exp, kill 1500 mobs with your weapon skill, kill 2000 mobs with your weapon skill, kill 2500 mobs with this weapon skill.
Then SE decided to divide those number of kills by 10 and make it much easier after a lot of people wasted time on it.
I really don't like the idea of upgrading like relics though. There should be newer weapons to go after at different caps not just keep upgrading an old one though tedious quests.
What exactly does the "Refresh" skill on the MNK weapons do, I wonder?

It's also 10x as dull as XI was, and that's the fundamental issue. There are plenty of ways to incorporate a long, difficult journey for obtaining relic weapons that don't involve the mindless spamming of dull content that's reliant on luck of the draw. That's simply poor, unappealing designLuck? Can you read?
