something tells me my description of you was spot on. you seem to be the only one concerned with your looks. then I read your signature about never seeing the light of day. Spot on I say. now apologize for calling him 300lbs

I'm really a super-galactic spy from Mars sent here to disguise myself as a "basement dwelling nerd" in order to spy on you humans while creating a super league of special humans that'll help me overtake the Guardians through genetic adaptation.

    Happy now?

    That made my morning.

But seriously Wii U? Square hasn't even push PS3 version out first. I did recall that they weren't going to port the game to any other system until after PS3 version was release. Also to kinda approve a point about getting it on PS3 vs Wii U. Why spend like 300 or 350 on system that running against current systems. When you can buy a new or use PS3 for half the price. Plus you'll get game regardless. Mind you I'm run the game a mid tier PC but I got my PS3 used for fact of running XIV just like I did with FFXI for PS2, and XBOX360.

I think you naysayers are underestimating several things.

Unrelated somewhat to Final Fantasy(but totally related to the Wii U) is the idea of motion gaming as immersive fun. Take Skyward Sword for example. While it's true that you could play the game with a traditional controller easily had they allowed that, that's not even the point. The point is to literally put you in the game. It's what racing wheels have been doing for years in racing games, and it's incredibly intuitive. My mother and most of my older family members can play through Mario Bros. easy enough but put anything above a NES controller in their hand and they have no idea what the hell to do with it, but these same people will cream you in a match of Wii Bowling. That's pretty powerful, and it's unfortunate that Skyward Sword came out during the Wii's last legs, since it REALLY speaks of what motion controls can do for "hardcore" games.

Also after buying my 3DS in August, I've really come to realize how powerful and "right" it feels to be able to switch from a game like Resident Evil Revelations or MGS3D to Mario Kart 7 or Ocarina of Time on the same handheld. Seriously, it's magical almost. Imagine being able to do the same with a great MMO.

Now on to things relating to FFXIV. Interface, interface, interface. You guys really aren't thinking about how powerful it is to have another screen working asymmetrically with the main screen that allows you to do all sorts of micro management(and maybe new experiences) without ever having to leave the action. Attaching this functionality to a controller(like the Wii U gamepad) is pretty big. I think the DS line showed us how this relatively simple addition can make a game feel that much better to play.

...I guess what I'm saying with that final point is dammit, SE. You can finally make a sequel to Crystal Chronicles that people will actually be able to play easily! I will eat that shit up!
